  2. Caldecott Books and Art for Kids

    Through a presentation and a related art activity, elementary students have the opportunity to learn about illustrator Mary GrandPre and the techniques she used in creating the illustrations for the children's book, "The Noisy Paintbox", written by Barb Rosenstock. This event is brought to you by Prescott Art Docents, a volunteer organization dedicated to sharing their love of art with children. Most appropriate for children ages 5-12.   4. PVPL’s Everyone Improv

    Want to learn the art of improv? Join the Prescott Valley Public Library’s ongoing group, “PVPL’s Everyone Improv,” which will meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Utilizing games, practice, silliness, acceptance, and bravery, you will explore all of the extraordinary places that improv can take you—with a lot of laughs along the way! The program will meet at 6:00pm at the Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E. Civic Circle). This program is free, and no registration is required. You must be 18+ to join.   5. Prescott Valley Art Guild

    February 21, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Library Crystal Room

    The Prescott Valley Art Guild is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to further the education, awareness and understanding of the creative arts and to promote and encourage the artistic welfare of the community. The organization holds a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of each month except in June and December. During the meeting information is provided on upcoming art shows and other related items, members bring in art work which is judged be members, refreshments are available, a raffle of art books is held and a presentation or demonstration is provided by a local artist. The Art Guild sponsors art shows in the community periodically and displays art of members in local businesses as part of our Art Around Town project. All members are encouraged to participate in the activities of the Art Guild. Members pay a $35.00 annual membership fee.
